Today on 6 January Christian people all over the world celebrate Epiphany, the last day of Christmas, the day the three wise men finally reached their destination, the new-born child in the manger. They had faithfully followed the bright shine of the Star of Bethlehem for many days. According to tradition they offered precious worldly gifts, but in exchanged they received the greatest gift of all: the faith into the innocent child, born to be the saviour of all mankind, of the poor shepherds on the field as much as of the rich, wise men, of people two thousand years ago and people now, of you and me. We may lose our way sometime in our life, but the bright shine that was lit two thousand years ago will lead us back as the Star of Bethlehem led the three wise men. May this warm and bright shine always reach you whenever darkness seems overwhelming.
God bless you.
